8 mm Shaft Differential Windlass Drum
A two-diameter differential windlass ("Chinese windlass") drum for an 8 mm rod. The 32 mm and 22 mm barrels wind the same rope in opposite directions, so the load rises only 15.7 mm per turn, about 24:1 ideal advantage with a 60 mm crank. It's 91 mm tall with 44 mm flanges, a captured M3 nut and set screw to lock it on the shaft, and rope anchor holes in the end flanges. Use it to lift or tension heavy loads slowly from a small hand crank or motor.
