Bluebird Box Predator Guard Entrance Tunnel
This is a screw-on entrance extender for an existing nest box. A 70 × 70 mm plate covers the old hole, even one a squirrel has chewed out to about 60 mm. It carries a 42 mm deep tunnel that keeps raccoon and cat paws from reaching the nest. The bore is 1-1/2 in (38.1 mm, modelled at 38.4 mm), the standard bluebird size that keeps starlings out. Grooves inside the tunnel give fledglings grip on the way out, and it fixes with four countersunk #6 wood screws (4.0 mm holes).
