Crystal Radio Spiderweb Coil Form
This is a flat coil form with 15 spokes for winding low-capacitance basket-weave inductors, used in crystal radio sets, AM loop antennas and ham loading coils. It is 115 mm across and 3.5 mm thick. The 15 spokes are 5 mm wide, and the open wedge slots between them run from the 40 mm hub out to the rim, so 18–30 AWG enamelled wire or litz wire weaves over and under the spokes. The hub has 2.4 mm wire-start holes and mounts with an M5 bolt through the centre or two M3 screws on a 20 mm spacing.
