Gate Drop-Rod Funnel Ground Socket
This is a flush-mount ground socket for the drop rod (cane bolt) on a double fence gate. It has a 32 mm funnel mouth that narrows to a 17.5 mm bore, so 1/2 in (12.7 mm) and 5/8 in (15.9 mm) rods find it without careful aiming. The open-bottom bore lets water drain. The 70 mm chamfered flange sits flush with the ground so mower decks slide over it. Four tapered fins on the 80 mm spike stop it from twisting in soil, and four 5.5 mm holes take #10 or M5 screws for mounting on a concrete pad or deck board.
