Swing-Arm Lamp Ballast Base For 1/2 in Post
Freestanding base that turns a clamp-only swing-arm, architect or magnifier lamp into a desk-standing one: a 13 mm socket (45 mm deep) takes the lamp's 1/2 in (12.7 mm) post, and an M5 set screw with a drop-in captured hex nut stops it spinning or lifting out. The 150 mm dish is an open trough you fill with about 430 cm³ of your own scrap washers, nuts or sand for weight, and three 5.5 mm floor holes let you screw it to a bench instead.
