8 mm Rod Microscope Boom Arm
A rigid 95 mm-reach boom arm for USB/digital microscopes and task lights, built from two 8 mm smooth rods out of the parts bin: one 8.3 mm slip-fit bore pinch-clamps onto a vertical desk post, the second carries a drop rod so the scope slides for focus instead of drifting. Tapered I-section web with a 12 mm wide bottom flange, 136 x 18 x 28 mm overall, locked by two M3 screws threading into M3 heat-set inserts.
