Ribbed Fence Picket Break Splint
A 70 x 150 mm ribbed splint plate that screws across a cracked or snapped wood fence picket. Use it to fix the one broken board without buying and cutting a new one. It is 4 mm thick with two 10 mm tapered stiffening ribs, and it has eight countersunk 4.8 mm holes for #8 (4.2 mm) wood screws, four on each side of a centre alignment groove. The plate sits flat on any picket from about 75 mm (3.5 in) wide upward, so the board's thickness doesn't matter.
