1/2 in PVC Desk Hutch Post Socket
A two-way socket for building a desk hutch or monitor shelf from 1/2 in schedule 40 PVC pipe (21.3 mm OD). Screw one socket to the desktop and a matching one under the shelf board, then push a cut pipe between them. Each socket has a 25 mm deep slip-fit bore of 21.6 mm and a 56 x 56 mm ribbed pad with four countersunk 4.5 mm holes for #6 or #8 wood screws or M4 bolts. A #6 pilot hole through the side lets you screw the pipe in place.
