2x2 Deck Baluster Repair Shoe
A screw-down socket shoe that re-secures a loose or rot-damaged 2x2 wood deck baluster (1-1/2 in = 38 mm square) to the top of a 2x4 bottom rail or tread without tearing out the railing section. It has a 39 mm square cup 22 mm deep, drain notches so water can't pool, #6 cross-screw holes (4.0 mm) through both wall pairs, and a 92 x 47 mm gusseted flange with four counterbored 4.8 mm holes for #8 or #10 deck screws.
