Bagel Halving Knife Guide Cradle
This cradle holds a bagel on its edge in a 48 mm wide channel. Slots in both end walls and a groove in the floor keep a bread knife on the centre line, so the bagel splits evenly and your fingers stay out of the blade's path. It is 140 x 56 x 50 mm and fits bagels and English muffins up to about 130 mm across and 46 mm thick. The side walls have windows to save material, and the floor is open at the ends so crumbs drop out when you tap it.
