Bolt-Through Tarp Grommet Repair Patch
This patch replaces a torn tarp, pool cover, awning or shade-sail grommet without a grommet-setting tool. Print two identical 56 mm discs, put one on each side of the fabric and bolt them together with four M4 x 16 mm screws. The 12 mm centre eye takes rope, bungee hooks or tent stakes. Each disc has 4.5 mm clearance holes on a 36 mm bolt circle, a hex pocket that holds either an M4 nut (7 mm across flats) or the screw head, and two raised ridges that grip the fabric. The outer edge is chamfered so it won't saw through the tarp.
