Flexure Sideswiper CW Morse Key
This is a one-piece single-lever sideswiper ("cootie") Morse key for ham radio. The key lever swings on a 1.8 mm printed flexure blade that bends sideways in the XY plane, so no bearings or springs are needed. Two contact posts take M3 brass heat-set inserts (4.0 mm bore) on a horizontal axis. M3 contact screws with lock nuts set the gap to an M3 screw and nut pair through the lever's 3.4 mm hole. A third M3 insert at the back is the common terminal. The 110 x 70 mm base has two 40 x 18 x 5 mm pockets that you fill with washers or lead shot for weight. Put 2 mm stick-on rubber feet under the base so the lever clears the desk.
