Four-Size Dowel Flush-Cut Saw Guard
This 150 x 50 mm guard plate is 2 mm thick. You slip it over a protruding 6, 8, 10 or 12 mm dowel or plug, then lay a flush-cut saw flat on the plate so the teeth can't scratch the finished surface. It leaves a 2 mm stub to sand off, and a 14 x 30 mm slot covers wedges and tenon ends. Dimples next to each hole mark its size, and a 22 mm grip block with a thumb scoop holds the plate down.
