Pet Carrier Door Snap-Catch Latch
A snap-catch that bolts on next to the wire door of a hard-shell pet carrier. It replaces a cracked factory latch so you don't have to buy a whole new crate. When the door closes, its wire rides up a ramp and snaps into a 5.5 x 8 mm pocket that holds wire up to about 5 mm thick. The 2.5 mm flex arm is printed on its side, so it bends along the layers rather than across them, and you press the thumb tab to let the door go. The block is 45 x 28 x 16 mm and mounts through the shell with two M4 bolts (4.5 mm holes, 16 mm apart) into captive 7 mm hex-nut pockets.
