Sliding Door Security Bar Cradle
A jamb-mounted socket that turns a cut length of 3/4" EMT conduit (23.4 mm OD) into a security bar for a sliding patio door — the bar snaps into the 23.9 mm bore through a 22.6 mm throat and bottoms out on the mounting plate, so a shove on the door loads the screws in shear. The 92 x 36 x 7 mm plate carries five 5.5 mm holes for M5 bolts or #10 wood screws (4.8 mm shank), one of them on the socket axis so the load screw can be driven down the 45 mm deep bore before the bar goes in; overall 92 x 36 x 52 mm with 45-degree gussets under the socket.
