Slotted Desktop Seam Joining Plate
A ribbed plate, 160 x 70 x 11 mm, that screws to the underside of two desktops butted together (for an L-desk, a bench extension, or a split top) and keeps them flush. It has eight 5.0 mm slots, 14 mm long, for #8 (4.2 mm) wood screws with washers. The slots let you pull the tops tight before you snug the screws down. A V-notch marks the centre line so you can line it up on the seam. Three 7 mm tall ribs run across the seam to resist sag.
