Steel-Rod Ballast Book Page Weight Bar
A 180 x 26 x 12 mm bar that lies across an open book or manual so the pages stay flat while you type, sketch or follow a build. It gets its weight from two 160 mm offcuts of 8 mm steel rod, about 125 g in total. The rods press down through 7.5 mm lead-in necks into 8.3 mm slip-fit channels with closed ends, and the bottom edges are chamfered so the bar slides over paper without catching.
