Vertical Blind Vane Top Repair Splint
A bolt-on U-channel splint that slips over the torn top of a standard 89 mm (3.5 in) vertical-blind vane and gives it a new hanger tab. It saves the vane when the punched hook hole rips out on an old headrail you can no longer buy parts for. The 2.4 mm jaw gap takes PVC or stiffened-fabric vanes up to 2 mm thick. Two M3 bolts go through 3.4 mm holes into captured nut pockets: use the splint as a drilling template, then clamp. The 2 mm tab has a 4 x 12 mm slot for the carrier clip's hook.
