Winch Fairlead Top Brace
This top brace is part of the 'N20 Self-Locking Worm-Drive Winch' kit. It is a 96 x 50 x 6 mm ribbed plate that bolts across the tops of both 608 bearing cheeks with four M3x12 socket head cap screws, which go into the cheeks' M3 heat-set inserts through 3.4 mm holes with 6.5 mm counterbores. It holds the cheeks square and guides the line through a 32 x 10 mm round-ended hawse slot. The slot has 1.5 mm 45° chamfers top and bottom so the line never rubs on a sharp edge.
