Zip-Tie Clamshell Cable Boot Splint
This tapered two-half splint replaces the cracked molded boot behind an RJ45 patch cable or USB plug. It clamps onto cables from 4.5 to 6.5 mm OD: the bore is 6.6 mm with five crush ribs that narrow it to 4.8 mm, and two 4.2 mm zip-tie grooves hold the halves closed. It is 45 mm long and tapers from 18 to 10 mm OD. Both halves print flat as one piece joined by snap-off sprues, so the plug never has to pass through it and a working cable doesn't get binned.
