Bookbinding Signature Punching Cradle
A 90° V-cradle for punching sewing holes through the fold of a signature with an awl. It has a 1.6 mm awl groove along the valley, a head-stop fence, and tick notches on the rim every 10 mm (deeper every 50 mm) so every signature gets the same stations. Measured 150 x 69 x 36 mm, it takes spines up to 146 mm (3.5 x 5.5 in pocket notebooks, A6), and longer books can hang out the open end.
