Parametric 4x4 in Drop-In Register Grille
A drop-in wall or ceiling register grille for a 4 x 4 in (101.6 mm) duct opening. Use it when a duct resize or drywall job leaves a hole that no store-bought cover fits. It has a 132 mm square face, a 98 mm locating skirt that leaves 1.8 mm of play per side, 3.5 mm straight-through slots stiffened by 9 mm deep vanes, and two countersunk 4.6 mm holes for #8 wood screws (4.2 mm shank) or M4 screws. Change OPEN_W and OPEN_L at the top of the script to fit other opening sizes.
