Slide-Under Ballast Bookend
A heavy-duty bookend whose 2.4 mm blade slides 60 mm under the stack so the books' own weight anchors it instead of the bookend skating across the desk. 105 x 78 x 85 mm overall, with an open ballast box (about 39 x 72 x 29 mm interior, ~80 cm³ of sand, coins or scrap hardware) behind the 3 mm upright and two 4.5 mm holes in the box floor for M4 screws if you'd rather fix it permanently to a shelf.
