Telescoping Pool Pole Pinch-Bolt Lock Collar
Replacement lock collar for a telescoping pool, window-washing or painter's pole whose plastic twist/cam lock has cracked. The 46 mm tall split collar slides 20 mm over the end of the outer aluminium tube (default 31.5 mm OD, bore 32.3 mm) and seats against an internal 45 degree shoulder, while the inner tube (default 28.7 mm OD, bore 29.1 mm) slides through the upper section. Two M5 pinch bolts on a 20 mm wide lug straddle a 3 mm slit: the lower bolt clamps the collar permanently to the outer tube, the upper bolt is the lock you tighten to hold the pole at length. Both bolts use 5.5 mm clearance holes and an 8.3 mm across-flats captured hex nut pocket, so a wing bolt or printed star knob makes it tool-free. The two tube diameters are the first two lines of the script; measure your pole with calipers and edit them.
