Edge-Lit Acrylic Sign LED Strip Base
A 140 x 44 x 38 mm base for an edge-lit sign. It holds a 3 mm acrylic panel up to 120 mm wide in a 3.4 mm slot, and a 10 or 12 mm WS2812/5050 LED strip (up to 124 mm long) sits in a 12.5 mm groove below it, shining up through a 2 mm slit. The acrylic rests on 0.7 mm ledges, so its edge doesn't sit on the LEDs. The open-bottom cavity (about 128 x 39 x 19 mm) has room for an ESP32 or D1 mini, with a 5 mm wire hole and an end-wall notch for the USB cable.
