Lead Clipping Catch Tray With Bounce Lip
A 140 x 90 mm catch tray for trimming leads on through-hole boards. The back wall is 55 mm tall, the side walls slope down to a 15 mm front wall, and a 45° lip along the back catches resistor and capacitor offcuts that bounce off the wall, so they stay out of the carpet. Two 4.8 x 10 mm slots in the floor take #8 (4.2 mm) wood screws if you want it fixed to the bench, and the low front lets you reach in with flush cutters and tip the offcuts into a bin.
