8 mm Flexure Detent Quick-Release Pin
This quick-release pin fits an 8 mm hole and holds up to 24 mm of material behind its collar. It has no spring or steel ball. Instead, the tip is split by a 22 mm slot into two flexing arms with 4.4 mm ramped bumps that squeeze through the bore and spring back out behind it to lock. Use it for gate panels, trailer accessories, jig fences and other quick-disconnect jobs where a store-bought ball-detent pin costs $10–20 and only comes in fixed lengths. The 7.6 mm shank is printed lying flat so the layers run along the pin, which keeps it strong in shear. A 28 mm finger ring and a 14 mm stop collar complete it.
