Bow-Spring Bypass Closet Door Floor Guide
This floor guide replaces the snapped plastic guide on a pair of bypass closet doors. It has two 47 mm channels on either side of an 8 mm centre divider, which sits in the gap between the doors. A flexible 1.8 mm bow spring in each channel holds any door from 35 to 45 mm thick (1-3/8 in and 1-3/4 in doors) without rattling. Fix it with #8 screws (4.2 mm shank) through 5 x 12 mm slots so you can slide it to line up with any track. It is 146 x 50 x 30 mm, the gusseted walls take the side load, and the doors need at least 5 mm of clearance above the floor.
