T8 Flexure Preload Anti-Backlash Nut Block
A 70 x 56 x 30 mm carriage block that holds two T8 brass leadscrew nuts, one on each end face, and removes backlash by pushing them apart. The end plate for the second nut floats on a pair of parallel 1.6 mm flexure blades: squeeze it about 0.3 mm in a vise, bolt on the nut, and the blades hold both nuts against opposite flanks of the thread. A 0.8 mm hard stop stops the blades from being bent too far, and radial M3 slots (r 7.5–11.5 mm) fit a range of nut flange patterns. It mounts on a carriage with four M3 heat-set inserts underneath.
